How does it work? Do I just show up?
To keep class sizes safe, effective, and fair for all members, all classes at Gallos Gym require advance booking either online or through the Space by Wix app you can download via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Each class has a set capacity. Once a class is full, a waitlist will open automatically. If a spot becomes available, the next person on the waitlist will be added. If your plans change, please cancel your reservation at least 2 hours before class so another member can attend. Late cancellations and no-shows may result in temporary booking restrictions. Booking also allows us to communicate directly with registered members in the event of class cancellations or schedule changes. If you need help booking or have questions, a coach is always happy to assist.
I have no experience in boxing or Muay Thai. Can I take a class?
Yes! Our classes are meant for all levels. Come early so you can get a rundown of the basics. If you feel like you or your child will require more individual attention we would recommend booking a private session before taking a class.
What do I need to bring?
A bottle of water, boxing hand wraps, and boxing gloves for all classes. Depending on the class you may need more. Check the class descriptions here for what specific equipment you will need. We sell equipment via our shop that we will bring for your class.
Is Boxing or Muay Thai safe?
Muay Thai and Boxing fights in the ring can be brutal and dangerous. BUT! Training Boxing and Muay Thai is a different thing and not as dangerous as it is made out to be. If you are in it because you actually want to just get a workout, but don't want to get hit, then our bootcamp classes are right for you, they are non-contact. For all other classes there is contact and sometimes you get hit, but that's the nature of contact sports, there has to be contact.
