How does it work? Do I just show up?

All classes at Gallos Gym require advance booking either online or through the Space by Wix app you can download via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Each class has a set capacity. Once a class is full, a waitlist will open automatically. If a spot becomes available, the next person on the waitlist will be added. If your plans change, please cancel your reservation at least 2 hours before class so another member can attend. Late cancellations and no-shows may result in temporary booking restrictions. Booking also allows us to communicate directly with registered members in the event of class cancellations or schedule changes.

I have no experience in boxing or Muay Thai. Can I take a class?

Yes! Our classes are meant for all levels. Come early so you can get a rundown of the basics. If you feel like you or your child will require more individual attention we would recommend booking a private session before taking a class.

What do I need to bring?

  • Water bottle

  • Fitted mouthguard

  • Boxing hand wraps

  • Boxing gloves (required for all classes)

  • Kickboxing shin guards for Muay Thai Kickboxing classes

We can lend boxing gloves and kickboxing shin guards for your first few classes. After that, members are strongly encouraged to have their own equipment so we can keep loaner gear available for new students. We do not lend boxing hand wraps or mouthguards, but we do sell traditional boxing hand wraps and mouthguards in our shop. Please arrive early if you need help purchasing or putting on equipment before class begins.

Is Boxing or Muay Thai safe?

When taught and practiced correctly, boxing and Muay Thai are far safer than many people expect. Classes focus on technique, control, conditioning, and defense, not uncontrolled fighting. Protective gear, experienced coaching, and clear rules help minimize risk, making training accessible for beginners and effective for long-term development.
